BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ACCOUNT DIRECTOR

Our Account Director leads our account/project teams and initiatives with a refined combination of strategy, balance and passion.  You will be helping to ensure the success of high-profile marketing and branding projects. You have an understanding of the latest digital and cultural products, trends and patterns. You are a team-player who works toward the common goals and purpose of our agency and client business. This role will also support our Business Development team to help initiate, facilitate and grow new business. He or she will participate in BD activities including funneling new business opportunities through the TILT pipeline, research, relationship management, proposal/pitch decks and RFP responses as required. You have excellent communication orally and in writing and you converse/network with ease. You have serious B2B and marketing/advertising industry chops and you are self-motivated and flexible.  

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Senior: 8-10+ years

PREFERRED WORK EXPERIENCE

8-10+ years account and/or project experience, including account management/direction for branding/advertising campaigns, with some element of business development/sales.

SALARY

$92-102K with performance-based variable

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Marketing/Advertising, Business, etc.) preferred or equivalent course / work experience

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

Strategic thinking capabilities at all account   levels; Experience working with and managing internal and external partner   networks; Management/mentorship of account team; Financial background to include forecasting and profit/loss statements; Microsoft Office (Word,   Excel, PowerPoint); Google Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets); Task   Management Software (Asana); Time Tracking Software (Timeneye)    

KEY DUTIES

  • Provide strategic thinking and responsiveness across all client project segments
  • Keep management and key stakeholders informed of the status of accounts, problems, plans, and meetings
  • Estimate costs and forecast client project financials, managing to predetermined P&L margins through the lifecycle of a client/project
  • Assist senior management with the development of business development strategies and execution of potential client acquisition campaigns, RFPs, etc.
  • Provide feedback, counsel, and development  to account team to plan and meet quarterly, annual and project-based objectives
  • Become an adviser to your client, working with colleagues to develop proactive and responsive strategic proposals which drive value for your client
  • Accountable for client revenue targets, ensuring accurate forecasting and a focus on growing targets on a continuous basis – ensure that your team understand the numbers and what it means to them over the financial year
  • Oversee the development, presentation and negotiation of cost estimates as formal budgets to the client
  • Identify and make a recommendation for the exploitation of opportunities for business growth within your accounts
  • Other duties as directed
